WHY IS THERE SUCH LIMITED INFORMATION AVAILABLE IN ENGLISH?

WHERE DO I PICK UP MY RACE BIB?
You pick up your race bib at Sport 1 Storgata, Storgata 22 / Stenersgata 8, Thursday August, 10 and Friday August 11 between 10:00 and 18:00 (the store is open until 20:00), or at the race office from 06:30 up until 1 hour ahead of start.
Bring your photo ID, license card (if you have a full year license) if you have your bib number ready the process will move faster. You want to have ample time to pick up your race bib as there might be queues. Take the opportunity to get answers to questions about the race you might have, meet some of our partners present or take advantage og the many great store offers.
Remember to check that your start envelope contains the following:
- bib number
- sticker set
- tattoo
- timing chip og neoprene band
- swim cap
It is also smart to verify your chip at the chip reader we have made acessible for you in the store.
Safety pins are only distributed upon request.
BIKE – WHEN CAN I CHECK-IN/OUT?
You can check in your bike from 90 minutes before your start until 30 minutes before your start. Check out starts at 11.30 and you have to pick up your bike before 16.30.
BIKE – I DON’T HAVE A BIKE (WITH ME), CAN I RENT ONE?
Race bikes are hard to come by in Oslo, so we recommend that you ask at your local dealer or perhaps a local Triathlon club.
BIKE – IS MY BIKE PROTECTED IN THE TRANSITION AREA?
The transition area is fencedand to collect your bike you need to show the bike (with a sticker with your startnumber) and race bib. The bike with sticker and the race bib is your ID to pick out your bike.
CANCELLATION – WHAT DO I DO IF I CAN’T START?
Unfortunately we can’t issue any refunds.
CHANGING DISTANCE – CAN I CHANGE FROM SPRINT TO OLYMPIC OR THE OTHER WAY AROUND?
Yes, you can if there is capacity in your desired distance. But you have to do this before July 25th.
The cost of the change varies depending on when/how.
CHANGING NAME – CAN I GIVE AWAY MY SLOT TO SOMEONE ELSE?
Yes, you can. But you have to do it before July 25th. There will be a cost of 150 NOK for the change.
CHIP – WHERE DO I SEND IT?
If you collected your start envelope but didn’t make it to the race – please return it to within three days after the race to:

Please note that unreturned chips are subject to a 500 NOK charge.
DRAFTING
Drafting is not permitted in any of the classes. This means you need to keep a 10 meter distance to the person in front of you as long as you’re not actively passing him/her.
DRINKS – WILL THERE BE SERVED ANY DRINKS DURING THE RACE?
Sponser isotonic sportsdrink and water is available for a bottle fill-up when entering the transition area, and on to the run course at approximately 3,2/ 8,2 km.
LICENSE – DO I NEED A RACE LICENSE?
Yes, you do need a race license. You can buy a one-day license or if you live in Norway you can be a member of a club that is affiliated to the Norwegian Triathlon Federation and buy a license. If you live in another country you will have to get the license in that country. Don’t forget to bring proof of your license to the race.
MAXIMUM TIME
You have to finish the bike leg before 15.45 and the run before 16.25, or you will be taken off the course.
PARKING – WHERE CAN I PARK?
We have no designated parking spaces for the athletes and recommend you to use public transport to avoid traffic jams in the area, it is free to bring your bike on the Metro. There are however some limited public parking spaces available in the area, but we advise everyone to avoid taking the car at all if possible. Access by car will also be limited once the race is in progress.

RULES – WHAT RULES APPLY DURING THE RACE?
The rules of the Norwegian Triathlon Federation that appl. They are mostly identical to the ITU’s rules. This is a non-drafting race (10 meters).
WETSUIT – DO I NEED A WETSUIT?
The rules for wetsuits follow the Norwegian Triathlon Federation/ITU rules. In short this means that if the water temperature one hour before the race start is between 14 and 22 degrees Celcius a wetsuit is allowed, but not mandatory. It’s mandatory below 16 and above 22 degrees you can’t use a wetsuit, all for health reasons.
Wetsuits with short arms/legs are still considered wetsuits and are therefore allowed when a wetsuit is allowed.
WETSUITS – WHERE CAN I GET A WETSUIT?
Our official swimwear partner Colting Wetsuits and Sport 1 Storgata will provide wetsuits for sale at the expo in the race village and at the race bib pickup.
