After our 2021 restricted “corona edition” behind us we expect 2022 to be a full scale event and we hope you are all ready for that too!
Oslo Triatlhon is the oldest triathlon and the largest triathlon event in Norway. The 2022 edition is the 39th in a long line of sucessful races. The race organizer is Rye Sports Club, Norway´s largest cycling club founded in 1920. We aspire to offer you a full-service race with a friendly atmosphere.
The entry fee includes:
- Swim Cap
- Temporary tattoo for skin/wet suit
- Participant Jersey in technical quality to all participants (also Team relay participants)
- Food and drinks at the finish line area
Olympic distance (1500m / 40K / 10K)
For the master of all three sports. Suitable for those who are up for a challenge, more seasoned triathletes with some races in their race belt, or even ambitious beginners with a good base of training.
Sprint distance (750m / 23K / 5K
Suitable for most beginners, but also attracts some fast and experienced thiathletes. We are proud to have high share of women represented on this distance.
Relay (team relay – 750m / 23K / 5K)
Not a master of all three trades? Put together a team with your friends / colleagues. Relay teams may consist of only men / women or a mix.
Super Sprint Aquathlon distance (400m / 5K)
Available for participants aged 13 to 17 years of age. No bike leg.
Super Sprint Tryatlon (400m / 10K / 2500m):
Suitable for adults who wish to get a small taste of Triathlon. A short and feasible distance, perfect for the novice, or if you haven’t competed in a long time, or simply just wish to try a short distance.
“Tri4Fun” Child Event: Triathlon play for the youngest. A chance for those aged 6-12 years to familiarize themselves with triathlons at their own terms. Participate in all three sports and cross the finish line together with the grown-ups. Medal and prize bag to all participants.
About Oslo Triathlon:
Oslo Triathlon is equally suitable for newbies as for experienced triathletes, and we try to accomodate that everyone can compete at your own level and ability.
We offer several triathlon distances, whereas the two main ones sprint and Olympic distance, as well as Super Sprint aquathlon for those between 13-17 years, a Super Sprint “Tryathlon” and “Tri4Fun” child activity. Arena and transition zone is situated at the NIH area by Sognsvann lake and swim start runs from the south end of the lake along the west side. The Bike Course runs through scenic Maridalen via Carl Kjelsens Gate and turning point at Skar and second lap turing point by Brekke, the entry of the Maridalen valley (Olympic distance only). The roads are open to normal traffic and normal traffic rules apply, of all competitors are requested to pay close attention and exercise caution towards other road users. The running track is one outer loop around Sognsvann at 5K each, and two laps for Olympic distance. The competition is non-drafting.
